Webinar on building Scale-Out network solutions using SDN and high-performance OpenFlow forwarding planes, featuring AARNet and Forrester Research

Scale-out SDN architecture provides an elegant deployment solution enabling massive scalability. The flexibility of the solution accommodates a wide range of network applications and services, including routing, service chaining, EPC, and load balancing, to name a few. This same flexibility allows different network elements to scale independently based on a wide variety of characteristics (number of users, forwarding or controller capacity, bandwidth, etc). In this webinar, Forrester Research presents the forces changing networks today and how SDN (Software Defined Networking) provides new ways to cope with this evolution. Noviflow then presents its Scale-Out SDN architecture, showing how it leverages SDN and disaggregation principles to build the SDN Scale-Out Router, and showing how this architecture enables many applications to scale-out to extremely large configuration in simple, modular increments. In closing, AARNet discussed a live deployment of a scale out SDN application: AARNet’s Australia Wide-Area SDN Testbed.
